Payment
Pay by cash or card — your call.
The Free Tour works on a voluntary tip basis, paid at the end of the walk. You decide what it's worth based on your experience — that's your guide's pay for the day.
For reference, most guests tip somewhere between €15 and €50,depending on how much they enjoyed it.

We want you to have the best possible time — and Oslo weather can be unpredictable. Make sure you check conditions for the day you've booked so you're dressed and ready for whatever the city throws at you.
Group Size
We need at least 4 people to run the tour.
This minimum keeps things fair for our guides and ensures a great experience for everyone. We also keep groups intentionally small so the tour stays personal and enjoyable.
If your booking doesn't reach the minimum, we'll reach out directly to let you know about any changes.

Your guide will be holding a Hola Oslo flag.

In the event of extreme weather conditions, our guide may choose to shorten the route or cancel the tour for the safety of the group.
The Route
We'll take you through the most iconic and historic spots in the city.
We start at the National Theatre and make our way to the City Hall, then through the Aker Brygge waterfront, Akershus Fortress, and Christiania Torv — where the city's history comes alive. From there we head to Oslo Cathedral and finish in style at the Opera House.
